Welcome to Trapped In A Rumor Improv

The East Bay's premier improvisation troupe!

For the past two years, we have been entertaining audiences with our distinctive style of improv. Our shows are fast-paced, funny, high-energy and rated PG-13 (unless otherwise advertised). The scenes you see are unrehearsed, unpredictable, unprepared and frequently based on your suggestions. Our clever performers work together to create a live theatre experience that is never the same twice.

We are in residence at Danville’s historic Village Theatre; additionally you may have seen us at the Alameda County Fair or as part of Emeryville’s Summer Performance Series.

Improvisational Tax Break

They say that there are only two things certain in life, death and taxes. This time of year, many people wish that the taxes would just go away, all the changes, all of the uncertainty. You deserve a break, you deserve something you can rely on, you deserve to have some fun! Join Trapped In A Rumor Improv as we provide you with "Comedy Sliders," a delicious tasting sample of short form improv, while at the same time helping out a great cause, the Safe Cat Foundation!

About Safe Cat Foundation

The Safe Cat vision is to see that all cats, regardless of their age or treatable medical condition, find a loving, permanent home, to see all cats spayed/neutered by 4 months of age to end the vicious cycle of killing at shelters due to unwanted animals, to educate people on the responsibility of pet ownership, that it’s not just a thing, but a living, breathing member of their family, and to create an environment where people and animals co-exist for the benefit of each other.

Fostering Opportunities

Their cat and kitten fosters are highly valued team members, and critical to the rescue of cats and kittens at risk in local shelters. As a Safe Cat foster, you will be provided an experienced mentor to help ensure your success in caring for and placing your foster cat in their forever home. Safe Cat foundation will provide your foster cat basic medical care. Discounted and donated food, litter, equipment (such as cages), and veterinary services (if needed), are provided. Safe Cat has arranged adoption venues to help you find the perfect new home for your kitty. You are asked to provide a safe haven, routine care and plenty of love until kitty finds a permanent home.
